These are the routes that Madrid at your Feet offers to you on a regular basis. They encompass the main historical hits of Madrid and its development as a capital city, also attending to its unique flavour still remaining in the streets. You can chose one and enjoy it as if it was your tapa or you can go for a full menu, including desserts and seasonal dishes if you are still hungry of culture ... Bon appetite

Entrées

Mayrit was the name given to the original Muslim fort found in the 9th century; conquered by the Christians at the end of the 11th century, through the narrow, oldest streets of current Madrid we can still see the traits of the medieval village that it was.

The period known as Madrid of the Austrias spans across 16th and 17th centuries. The Habsburg dinasty establishes in the old Alcázar and during this time Madrid acquires its authentic character, still remaining in many streets, houses, palaces or taverns. 
Main Courses

Huertas is the name of the barrio known as The Literary Quarter, once located in the outskirts of the old city. Today, it is a charming vintage enclave that will surprise you for the many historical, cultural ... and juicy secrets that still preserves. 

With the arrival of the Bourbon dynasty in Madrid a big change was experienced for the city and its people's conditions. Far from losing its identity, during 18th and 19th centuries Madrid embraced one of our most impressive and representative times.
Desserts

For centuries, Retiro Park has been a place for resting and easy-going enjoyment, first for the royals ... and now for all. Ornate by the best artists of the time, behind its centenary trees there are archaeological secrets, historical episodes and fantasy creations ready to be discovered by you.

The Gran Vía is one of the most well-known big avenues of Madrid, a symbol of the 20th century flanked by buildings of superb architecture; and yet, the luxury and the shows share the space with a solid sense of art and history, plus some unusual anecdotes.
